Why see Jack and the Beanstalk?

FE-FI-FO-FUM!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Jack's GIANT beanstalk! And this year, it's bigger and more magical than ever as Jack and the Beanstalk returns with a brand-new cast to take you on a soaring adventure to the clouds. Joining the fun is none other than pop sensation and West End star Alexandra Burke as the villainous Mrs. Blunderbore! She's set to cause plenty of mischief, but don't worry - comedy legend Joe Pasquale steps in as Jack Trot's hilarious brother, Simon, along with cabaret icon Ceri Dupree and West End diva Ria Jones.

WHAT IS THE STORY?

A true classic of the panto repertoire, Jack and the Beanstalk follows the tale of young Jack, sent to market to sell his family's beloved cow. But instead of coming back with much-needed cash, he returns with a handful of magic beans', much to his mother's dismay. Furious, she throws the beans away, only for a towering beanstalk to sprout overnight, leading Jack to a giant's castle in the sky. Armed with courage, Jack climbs the beanstalk and discovers riches beyond his wildest dreams - but he also catches the eye of the fearsome Giant! With a little help (and a lot of laughs), Jack, his family, and the village must find a way to outwit Mrs. Blunderbore and the Giant to secure a happy ending.

Not for the kids - so just take them to a traditional panto

This was my first palladium Panto but I had heard much about them - definitely more of an adult Panto, than the traditional "he's behind you nonsense," and it didn't disappoint. If you have sense of humour, you'll love it - if you don't or are one of those easily offended soft type, don't go.. it's too much fun for you, sorry. :) ... Read more
