Back by popular demand after celebrated runs in London's West End and multiple sold-out Edinburgh Fringe seasons, Myra's Story by Brian Foster returns to the stage with irresistible Irish heart. Fionna Hewitt-Twamley delivers a solo performance which is as hilarious as it is heartbreaking, playing more than 15 different colourful characters who shed light on the twists of fate that have shaped central character Myra's journey.
A rumination on depression, loss and poverty, Myra's story centres around a Dublin woman who has become homeless after falling on hard times, with Hewitt-Twamley embodying the characters present in Myra's journey to that desperate point. Praised as a perfect example of masterful Irish storytelling, despite the fall to her lowest ebb humour survives, while the audience is reminded that what happens to Myra could happen to anyone.
